Cleaning Green Vermont's Story
Hello, I'm Katrina, the driving force behind Cleaning Green Vermont. My journey into the world of eco-friendly cleaning began three years ago, right at the height of the pandemic. Before venturing into the cleaning industry, I had a successful stint in Montpelier, running an organic honey-sweetened chocolate business. After a few years as a chocolatier, my heart led me towards a different path - one focused on women's empowerment and indigenous rights.
Driven by my passion, I started travelling, hosting women centered gatherings and indigenous-led ceremonies. Unfortunately, the onset of COVID-19 halted these in-person events, prompting me to pivot once more. I made a life-changing decision to return to school after two decades,enrolling in an online program at Regent University, where I am pursuing studies in Theology and Leadership.
During my time at school, I wanted to contribute positively to people's lives, maintain a flexible schedule, and align my work with my educational pursuits. It was during this time that I noticed a growing need for professional cleaners. Inspired to make a difference, and meet the demands of the community, I decided to give it a try. I soon found immense satisfaction in the work.
As Cleaning Green Vermont flourished, I expanded the company by bringing a few like-minded friends onboard, providing them with part-time employment opportunities. After a year of hands-on experience, I chose to shift my focus to the administrative side of the business. This decision allowed me to leverage my clear communication and entrepreneurial skills to drive further growth and success.
My vision for Cleaning Green Vermont extends beyond just a cleaning service. I aspire to continue nurturing this business throughout the duration of my academic journey, which spans at least another seven years. In doing so, I aim to create meaningful, flexible, job opportunities for local Vermonters while delivering top-notch, eco-friendly cleaning services to our valued clients.
I take immense pride in the strides we've made at Cleaning Green Vermont so far. This journey has been a remarkable endeavor, and I am committed to its continued growth and excellence!
